For the past five years I have been involved in the world of technical support to the entertainment and Arts industry, during this time I have worked with diverse world famous performers , I have organised and stage managed classical concerts by the prestigious Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra coupled with involvement with school companies and disadvantaged groups. As stage manager I ensure all aspects of the physical production are completed safely including the get-in and out.  I have a pleasant nature with excellent interpersonal skills, I take pride in my work and the work of those I am responsible for. In my current roles I have to deal with some highly sensitive characters however my enthusiasm and commitment to achieve and maintain a high standard of excellence has helped me erase any barriers and insured that a high level of professionalism and competence remains constant. Aside from my work at the Philharmonic I have been production manager for St Georges Hall Liverpool, these productions are a celebration of diversity and culture which attracts large audiences. During this work and coupled with day to day Production manager duties I have also become familiar with, carpentry, welding and electrics. I also gained knowledge of Entertainment Licensing and its role in the theatre. I have an up to date understanding of health and safety in the work place and I put this into practice regularly in the form of risk assessments to prevent any incidents that may occur. 

On a personal level I also enjoy theatre and it was a great honour and privilege to act as stage manager for Willy Russell during his recent contribution to the Liverpool Capital of Culture 2008. Whilst working at the Liverpool Arena and Convention Centre I was part of a huge operation to stage world famous events . My approach to problem solving is one of risk minimisation. The extent of my preparation and my dedication to the production should ensure that problems are rare; however, should they occur I deal with incidents and situations in a pragmatic and effective manner. I have extensive experience of dealing with repertory companies. The Arena and the Philharmonic host major artists that often we have to accommodate technicians from other organisations, liaison is the key to effective and efficient running and this is a concept that I am totally at ease with.

I am an enthusiastic, committed individual who has a passion for theatre and performance. I have experience across many roles in the theatre and working with major artists, I have willingness to support and nurture new talent and act as a role model to young people within the Performing Arts. I am flexible, hard working and also hold a full UK drivers licence.
