1532 Performing Arts Centre

1532 Performing Arts Centre 1532 is an Performing Arts Centre based on the campus of Bristol Grammar School. Our centre not only offers a state of the art theatre, but a huge sprung floor dance studio with floor to ceiling mirrors and an acoustically treated recital hall, as well as a smaller studio which is an ideal rehearsal space. All are available to be hired. So we’re proud to be able to support all three performing art disciplines, music dance and drama.

360 Degrees

360 Degrees Approx 700sq ft of dance space. Wood-effect vinyl flooring. Full wall of mirrors. Flattering low-level/coloured lighting. Available most daytimes during the week. Studio is mostly used for Pole Dancing, but poles are easily removable if you require more space. Per hour: £20. Weekly bookings, per hour: £15 (minimum 1 month). Half Day (4 hours): £70. Full Day (8 hours): £120.

Alma Tavern

This is a small Pub Theatre often used by theatre company Theatre West. The space is hired out through the pub who usually rent the space out weekly. The space is flanked by black drapes that are removable. This space has been used for: new writing and small scale theatre.

Alma Tavern and Theatre Alma Theatre is always on the look out for exciting production companies to include in their varied programme. We believe that in order to have amazing theatre every week we need fresh blood, as well as the tried and tested talents. The Alma Tavern and Theatre are excited to announce that we have now taken our theatre bookings in-house and are on the scout for exciting new production companies to share our stage. We hope that those who come forward can bring a selection of classic pieces, some modern greats and a smattering of brand new, original works as well. So, if you are just starting out, or have been walking the boards for a while and just haven’t managed to get back to the Alma, we would love to hear from you, or pop by to have a look at the space. Amphitheatre

At St Werburghs city farm we have an Amphitheatre capable of seating 250 people. It is a a great outdoor space suitable for theatre and music productions. There is no electricity but is in a magical environment. Contact David at office@swcityfarm.co.uk

Anchor Square Anchor Square is a part of the recent developments of the Harbourside. Although council owned it is managed by At Bristol. This space has been used for: festivals, street performers, launch events, fairs.

Ashton Court Estate: The Bowl

Ashton Court is a 16th century house surrounded by 840 acres of a mixture of woodland and open countryside. Ashton Court is keen to establish itself as a outdoor theatre venue. There are three main events sites (maps available) but there are other areas that could be used. This space has been used for: outdoor theatre, ashton court community festival, the balloon fiesta.
