This is a spacious and relatively flat park with a large lake, woodlands and wild flower meadows. It is accessed from Muller Road and Fishponds Road. Bristol City Council want people to use the parks and enable event organisers to make the events happen (whilst taking into account the care of these spaces). Each application to use the space is accessed on its own merit to determine cost and viability (how the community would benefit, the potential damage to the space etc). Use of this space is by application to Arilda Tymko: arilda_tymko@bristol-city.gov.uk. A light modern room in the Friends meeting house in Horfield. The room is large and has a good floor that would be suitable for dance. The building is detached so there is no problem with sound spill. The room has direct access to the garden and is pleasant and airy. There is a small carpeted room (capacity 20) that can also be hired - perhaps for break-out activity. Cost varies depending on whether users are community based groups or commercial users. This space has been used for Friends Meetings, rehearsal and community activities.
The main space that is hired out is the hall but there are also 2 other rooms that can be hired out at the rate of ᆪ7.50 per hour: the Library (capacity: 60, floor: carpeted) and a downstairs room (capacity 60 - when dividing doors are open.
