The studio is light and airy. It has a solid wooden sprung floor with full length mirrors across its width and a practise bar along the length. Kingswood is about 4 miles away from the city centre and is served by buses (a taxi there cost about ᆪ8). Hirers need to put down a deposit for use of the space. L Shed at Bristol Industrial Museum

L Shed at Bristol Industrial Museum L Shed is a huge shed on Bristol's dockside. It is part of the Industrial Museum. The space is due to change its emphasis in September 2005. It is very raw looking inside and is flanked by metal sliding doors (which enable easy loading). There is no heating and the doors mean that the space can get very cold. It is a strictly non-smoking venue as there is a store of Museum property above the space. The space is completely empty and hirers will need to bring all equipment themselves (including heating, seating, staffing and catering). The space is very flexible and the museum is open to temporary changes to the non-permanent elements of the hall (this must be agreed beforehand). Theatre (both on and off stage work) has been held here but can be difficult here because of the pillars. It can also be used as a rehearsal space. The L shed offer a "starving artist's" rate of £50 per day but this is for short notice bookings (1 week in advance), strictly 9-5pm for rehearsal (must not disturb the space too much). There are also smaller rooms that link to the main space that can be used. This space has been used for: trade fairs, theatre, exhibitions.
