Large studio space available at The Island

Large studio space available at The Island The Island is a multi use arts facility and creation centre in the old police station in Bristol city centre. It hosts a wide variety of creative spaces from circus training, dance and rehearsal rooms, making spaces and artists studios to dark rooms, recording studios, a gallery and a suite of early 20th century police cells. We have one large space becoming available within the Island and our first port of call is to see whether there are Creative people out there looking to partner up with us to turn these spaces into exciting and vibrant additions to the project. You will get the opportunity to work in a creative environment and have access to all the other facilities of The Island (Art shop, Gallery, Training Space, Dance Space, Fashion studios, Music studios) and work amongst some great Bristol artists. Studio Information: Solo or shared studio 2nd floor: 57.27 m2 £400-480 per calendar month (price subject to agreement) Great studio for a group, organisation or a creative business. Access from our courtyard. Near kitchenette facilities. Sink/tap and cooker in the studio space. 24 hours access. Millenium Square

Millenium Square Millennium Square is a part of the recent developments of the Harbourside. Although council owned it is managed by At-Bristol. There is a good website with a panoramic image: http://www.bbc.co.uk/bristol/content/cityviews/360/views/explore.shtml. This space has been used for: festivals, street performers, launch events, fairs.

Mivart Street Studios

Mivart Street Studios These are studios in former Victorian mill that has housed artists and artists groups for over 20 years. It is run by a collective of artists (rather than being for commercial gain). The space that is available to hire is a light rehearsal room. This space has been used for theatre rehearsal and evening classes.

Monks Park Secondary School

A secondary school that occasionally hires out space (in particular their hall). Contact Julie Pain (works 8.30 to 1.30) 01173772002 for further information.

Portway Community School

Puppet Place

Puppet Place has workshop and rehearsal space that it makes available to other organisations during quiet periods.

QEH Theatre

Large studio theatre used by QEH school for inhouse productions. Has been used for external productions in the past.

Queens Square

Queens Square Queen Square is a Georgian square made up of 4 main areas that surround a central statue. This is a fragile space and both the grass and gravel's use is restricted. See: www.bristol-city.gov.uk/centrespaces for an access guide and downloadable plans. Bristol City Council want people to use the parks and enable event organisers to make the events happen (whilst taking into account the care of these spaces). Each application for use is accessed on its own merit to determine cost and viability (how the community would benefit, the potential damage to the space etc). Redgrave Theatre

Redgrave Theatre The Redgrave is a procenium arch Theatre owned and operated by Clifton College. The 323 seats are raked to give exellent veiws of the stage. The Theatre was built in the 60's as was one of the first ever purpose built school theatres. Orginally called the 'Clifton College Theatre' it was renamed in memory of the actor Sir Micheal Redgrave.
