Hello there!
I’ve worked in theatre as a director, education officer and arts marketer for companies including Gwent Theatre, Theatre Royal Bath and art + power. I still work freelance giving workshops in drama and storytelling for organisations as various as Bristol City Council (Learning Communities Team) and Christ Church Clifton.
I got interested in the Alexander Technique when strain-related injuries stopped me from working and enjoying activities I loved.
I couldn’t use the computer, couldn’t play recorder, couldn’t knit, couldn’t even cook. Life was pretty hard for a while.
I was astonished by the transformation the Technique was having on my entire life – and not just on my physical difficulties. So, I decided to train to become a teacher and help others make the same discoveries.
I am now resident Alexander Technique teacher for the Bristol Folk House, am a guest tutor at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and teach for Bristol City Council. I am also a singer, and my recorder quartet called Pink Noise recently won a category at the Bristol Eisteddfod!
