Parabola Arts Centre’s mission is to support emerging artists and inspire young audiences. The 325-seat main theatre and multiple rehearsal studios function as the Drama Department for The Cheltenham Ladies’ College and a public arts centre for Cheltenham.

Apprenticeships are part of a national government accredited scheme offering vocational training as an alternative route into the creative industries.
Aim of post:
The Cultural Venue Operations Apprentice is a member of the theatre team and is responsible to the Theatre Manager to assist in the effective and efficient running of the venue for all productions in house and touring.
The team consists of permanent employees (Theatre Manager, Programme Director, Technical Stage Manager and Technical Assistant) and additional casual staff as required. The Cultural Venue Operations Apprentice will be expected to work across internal and external events and to assist with hands-on as well as administrative tasks.
With a passion for theatre, the post holder will support the day to day activities involved in running the venue efficiently and effectively, with particular attention to all aspects of running a theatre venue including front of house, box office and bar as well as the marketing and administration of shows.
This post is suitable for applicants with an aspiration to make their career in venue operations.
