DETAILS: We are looking for 1 female actor /workshop leader to perform  in a double bill of brand new, interactive, touring educational theatre shows for school audiences.  You must be able to multi-role as a range of characters from young children to grandparents and possibly talking animals!  In addition, you will need to lead groups of school pupils in drama workshops after the performance is over.  As a member of a small theatre company, you will be expected to load/unload the tour van and assist with get-ins / get-outs. 

TIMINGS: You must be available to rehearse in SE Cornwall from 9.30 to 5.30 Monday to Friday for the first 3 weeks of October 2010.  You must then be available for tech/dress rehearsals on 28/29/31 October.  The tour will be to around 15 schools in Cornwall, Devon and Somerset in November.  Confirmed dates so far are:  3/4/5/11/18/25/26/29/30 November, plus one December date: Wednesday 8th.  It is likely that the shows will tour again in Spring 2011.

EXPERIENCE:  You should have a good pass in a Drama/Theatre-based degree level course.  You need to have the energy and capability to multi-role many characters during a 45-60 minutes show.  Physical theatre, singing and audience participation will feature in the performances, so enthusiasm for these is needed!  Experience of leading Drama / PHSE workshops or even Drama teaching is very much preferred, but not essential as you will receive basic workshop training.
