Expired: Circus Director for National Tour

Compass Presents | Salary: £700

Application Deadline: 26.03.17 17:00

Compass Presents is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Aerial Circus Director for our upcoming national tour in partnership with the British Film Institute (BFI). This is an exciting opportunity to work on an innovative and multidisciplinary production which will have a national profile.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 26th March 2017 with shortlisted applicants notified by the 28th March 2017. All candidates must be available for interview on the 30th March 2017.

About the Show
The BFI are in their third and final year of  ‘Britain on Film’; a programme dedicated to celebrating Britain's onscreen heritage with the aim of engaging new audiences with archive film. The theme for 2017 is ‘Coast & Sea’ and Compass Presents has curated an expanded cinema experience that will be the BFI’s flagship production.

Celluloid Sail takes place on the Kaskelot, a tall ship built in 1948 that will be moored in harbours across the country to make up the tour. We shall transform the Kaskelot into a living installation of Britain’s on-screen heritage. Using archive film and a screening of a cult classic as the crux of the show, Celluloid Sail will use a mix of archive film, projection, circus and aerial performance to give audiences a totally new experience.

About Compass Presents
Compass Presents create immersive environments, enhanced screenings, and interactive encounters. Mixing film, visual art, digital content, music and performance, we use a multidisciplinary approach to present art from new perspectives.
