Expired: URGENT MALE REPLACEMENT - Actor/facilitator KS3 Anti-bullying Tour - Role: Teenage School Student

Unique Voice CIC | Salary: £325 Average weekly fee (dependent on role & experience)

Application Deadline: 18.09.17 09:00

We're a not-for-profit social enterprise proudly in our 5th year of operating. As a nationally accredited community interest company, we have achieved effective social impact by using the medium of drama.  We’ve visited over 40,000 young people and are proudly patroned by Sir Patrick Stewart.

We portray real life issues affecting children through drama and creative play. Our programmes are devised by listening and responding to the changing needs that young people are experiencing. Through focus groups, we are able to pinpoint what issues to cover within our programmes and the best approach in tackling them through educational visits known as “tours”. Through this, we are able to implement the voice of young people into performances that are shown in an assembly setting. The performances are a powerful tool in engaging young people, relating possible personal challenges they may face with the drama they are presented with. Following this, we deliver workshops to young people, further exploring the themes related to the performance. This allows young people to explore positive and negative outcomes, encouraging them to make informed decisions.

Our commitment lies within the diverse communities within our base in Bristol and across the UK. We we strive to provide innovative programmes that engage children and young people in topics that focus on current issues. We work closely with schools, who directly purchase both our seasonal PSHE work and annual programmes, to creatively tackle social and personal well-being themed subjects such as Anti-Bullying, Online Safety and Mental Health. As well as providing targeted creative provisions within the community for vulnerable young people.

We are looking for a male actor with workshop facilitation skills to play the role of a teenage school student and deliver performances and drama based workshops of a high standard with our KS3 Anti-bullying Triple R tour . All applicants must be based in Bristol or teh surrounding area and willing to travel outside of Bristol for the delivery of services when required for the tour (being able to drive and provide your own vehicle, to take on the role of team driver will be great advantage).

Dates to be avalible:

Rehearsal - Selected dates between Monday 2nd October - Friday 6th October

Tour - Monday 9th October - Friday 20th October

(2 week, Monday -Friday only, must be available for the FULL duration)

Please note, further and regular work will be available for individuals upon successful completion and delivery of services.
