Vamos Theatre seeks male and female actors/workshop leaders

Vamos Theatre, one of the UK’s leading full mask theatre companies, is seeking experienced and versatile physical theatre actors to play multiple roles in its next touring production, Finding Joy. Suitable candidates will preferably have physical theatre/dance, full mask, and workshop leadership experience.

Finding Joy is a funny, moving, vital and heroic tale of one family’s experiences of dementia; the story of a teenage lad, Rowan, his grandmother, Joy, and their unique, quirky and inspiring relationship. The full mask show is aimed at an intergenerational audiences of 12 years +, and will tour to larger scale theatres (500+) and smaller rural touring venues alike, initially between February and July 2013.

Based in Worcester, Vamos Theatre has established its innovative, fearless and humorous performance style through extensive national touring and education programmes, and is looking to expand its reach by taking its next production to both UK and international venues. Actors must be available for:

Auditions: 9th – 12th October 2012

Development and devising week: 5th - 9th November 2012

Rehearsals:
11th December 2012 - 8th February (excluding the weeks commencing 24th and 31st December)

Tour: February – July 2013
