My name is Kate Davies and I am a 29 year old actress and experienced presenter from Bristol. I also have a base in Cornwall and in Manchester.

My recent work with English Theatre Company involved touring throughout Spain, Belgium, Holland, Portugal and parts of France, performing a selection of comedy plays.  I worked in this job role for 2 years.

I am a strong physical performer (it was very important for me to convey characters this way as I have been acting for students who do not speak English as a first language).  My singing voice is clear and strong and I’m a confident and trained solo singer.  I can dance well in many styles but my strongest skills are in ‘body-popping’, hip hop and robotic movements.  i enjoy playing 'larger than life' characters.

My previous acting experience as also involved being a professional member of a comedy improvisation line-up (like Who's Line Is It Anyway) with Offstage Theatre Company. This has helped me immensely in learning to think on my feet and helped a great deal when I have had to work with students on stage.  I have also been a teaching assistant in the drama and dance department of SWADA Performing Arts College in Bristol for the past six years reinforcing my passion and knowledge of the acting profession.

I have experience in presenting work, including hosting my own web tv show 'ReadyGamer' and interviewing video game developers for coverage on the Sony PS3 and Xbox 360 events.  I enjoy working in front of a camera and am comfortable with using auto-que, green screen or improvised speech.  I am very keen to break into presenting for Children's television.

My other skills and hobbies include; travel, fitness, video games and cartoon illustration.
