Theatre Bristol Promoters

Inspired by the National Rural Touring Scheme Lighting The Touchpaper was a pilot project that aimed to empower and support people to promote high quality professional live performance in and for their local communities around Bristol.

From Autumn 2007- Autumn 2008, teams of promoters in Barton Hill, Easton, Knowle West and Lawrence Weston presented touring theatre to approximately 500 people. Promoters chose to programme Fairground Theatre, Green Ginger, Gonzo Moose, Charlie Reid, Rogue Theatre, Tangere Arts & Theatre Absolute.

As well as support from Theatre Bristol the promoters have had opportunities to work alongside staff from Asian Arts Agency, Bristol Old Vic & Theatre Royal Bath.
