I am a dance theatre artist currently training independently in various dance styles in Bristol. I also sing and write music for guitar and piano, performing under the moniker Be Still My Heart.
I have a dance theatre foundation degree from City of Bristol College, a BA in drama from the University of Exeter and a post-graduate certificate in physical theatre from Royal Holloway University of London and Jasmin Vardimon Company.
I am interested in performing, and in creating experimental, multidisciplinary live work and film.
The Xmas Project was a dance theatre piece I created for five dance and circus performers as Flight Risk Dance. The piece began life in a BodyStorming Choreographic Lab and was completed in just over a month, scratching at Circomedia's Testing Ground and being performed in full at the DanceSpace in December 2011. The piece drew from recorded interviews and accounts of Christmases past, present and future, looking at what Christmas means to modern-day Britain, what it takes to bring us together and what it means to be alone.
