Watershed; Bristol Old Vic and Forkbeard Fantasy will be amongst 53 organisations nationally taking part in an experimental new broadcast service, The Space.

At a public meeting held on Tuesday 11th May, and following the recent announcement of a £6.1m grant from Arts Council England, Bristol Old Vic revealed details of the next stage of its multi-million pound redevelopment. The King Street complex is to undergo £19.3m of refurbishment work which will see the Theatre Royal and surrounding buildings transformed into a flexible complex with up to ten performance spaces.
Bristol Old Vic has been awarded £5.3 million by Arts Council England to help fund the long-planned refurbishment of the Theatre Royal.
On the12th September Bristol Old Vic will once again open its doors to the general public for free access all areas, including the 18th Century grandeur of the Theatre Royal auditorium and Coopers Hall.
Bristol Old Vic has announced its Christmas programme for this year, with both the Theatre Royal and Studio theatres hosting innovative new co-productions between Bristol Old Vic and two of the UK’s most groundbreaking theatre companies.
