Inbetween Time Festival and Back to Back Theatre invite you to become a member of the cast of a remarkable film to be shot in Bristol this summer. The Democratic Set invites you to create your own 15-second portrait or performance to camera. Your performance can use props or costumes, or simply depict you as you really are.

You could be a professional performer, or an individual or group who fancies basking in the glow of the camera’s lights, or you could have a performative skill to share, a performance turn to show, or an artwork to display. Everyone is welcome.

Housed in a simple, room-like film SET, each performance will take place in the same neutral environment, where every contribution is valued equally. A selection of performances will be edited together to form the bigger film, ‘a cavalcade of portrait, soap box and drama’. The film will be premiered at glittering gala event to which, as an important contributing artist you will be invited. The film premiere on 1 December 2010 is the opening event of the Inbetween Time Festival 2010. IBT 2010 is a vibrant biennial festival of live art and intrigue featuring performance, exhibitions and events.
