DEVISING THEATRE: AN INTRODUCTION FOR NON-PROFESSIONAL ADULTS
This summer, we will be taking our first steps towards the establishment of an adult company at Bristol Old Vic.
Consisting of non-professionals, we hope to build a company of people who, for whatever reason, haven't previously enjoyed access to devising, creating and performing work, and have a burning theatrical itch to scratch.
Exactly what shape this company will take, what work we'll make and what skills we'll learn, we don't yet know.
Which is where you come in.
Our Devising Theatre introductory sessions on Wed 25 and Thu 26 July will be run by experienced drama facilitator and creative practitioner, Liz Hague, who has spent over a decade working with people of all ages and abilities on developing their passion for and ambition to create story-led theatre.
Her session will explore how we build stories and create original work for performance, based on our own experiences.
We're keen on seeing your ideas, and hearing what thoughts you might have on the direction a Bristol Old Vic adult company might take.
The sessions take place here at Bristol Old Vic on Wed 25 and Thu 26 July from 7-9pm and cost £3. Both sessions are the same so you only need to book a space on one. Places are limited to 25 per session and you can book a space on the DEVISING THEATRE: AN INTRODUCTION session by visiting or calling our box office on 0117 987 7877 or click here.
