Hello!
We're making a short film and want you in it! Do you have a Bristol accent and acting experience? If yes, read on!
It's a three minute documentary spoof, shot to cinematic quality and within the next three weeks, so if we think you'd be good for the film, we'll call you up for a casting straight away! All we need from you, is a photo, a link to your showreel if you have one, details about your acting experience, oh and please include height/age. It's a naturalistic documentary style, not over acted.
Who we need
1. Male / 25-35 / Caucasian
Ex-boyfriend of the main character. Bristol accent. Attractive, strong looking, slightly big-build, quiet confident type, cool and collected. Pleasant enough, not rude but with an attitude of apathy. He uses as little words as possible to get his point across, he'd really rather be somewhere else than be interviewed for the documentary. Body language slightly defensive.
2. Male / 25-40 / Caucasian
New boyfriend of the ex-boyfriend. Bristol accent. Very camp, fidgety, attention seeking, loving the interview. Slightly bitchy. One who loves to gossip! Talkative (answers other people questions for them), gestures with body language a lot. Aware of being shot in the best light.
4. Female / 45-65
Mother of the main character. Bristol accent. Warm, kind hearted woman but one who doesn't suffer fools. Practical, pragmatic, no-nonsense woman. Strongly opinionated yet not confrontational. Sees the world in black and white. Must get her point across. A busy body she doesn't keep still for long. More interested in making sure everyone is fed and watered and comfortable. Not exactly paying full attention all the time. A great double act with the main character's father, they finish each other's sentences and agree whole heartily with what each other says.
5. Male / 50-65
Father of main character. Bristol accent. Lovely, kind, big-built, deep voiced man. A sweet, sympathetic father more softly spoken than than the mother and one you'd like to cuddle. Doesn't ever want to cause an argument, avoids confrontation where possible. Fairly quiet and happy to let his wife do most of the talking/fussing about. He has learnt to kept of the way of the years and let her get on with it. Resigned to the fact that he probably doesn't wear the trousers in the relationship and is more of a sidekick to his wife. Clearly knows exactly what is going on, just doesn't have the energy anymore to talk over his wife. More understanding than the mother however, and can appreciate that things aren't always black and white, but still results in agreeing with the mother. A great double act with the mother.
6. Male / 25-35
Friend of main character. Bristol accent. Cider drinker. Fairly attractive, typical pub bloke, intelligent, not one who seeks attention, just content and happy to share a few drinks and a few yarns. Confident yet not cocky. Level-headed.
7. Female / 25-35
Friend of main character. Bristol accent. Cider drinker. Bubbly, equally friendly with guys and girls. Feminine, friendly, chatty, fun. Confident, not over-the top, down to earth.
8. Male / 25-35
Friend of main character. Strong Bristol accent. Big friendly giant, slightly overweight perhaps. Wide eyed, friendly, smiley, happy choppy. Often will be the one who says the last thing on a subject, perhaps the punchline. Will regularly say something innocently, yet unaware, to everyone else, it could easily be construed as an euphemism.
