The Social Skills Agency is a not-for-profit organisation based in Bristol. We offer social skills learning programmes for young people who struggle with social communication. We specialise in supporting children and teenagers with Asperger’s Syndrome (AS) and high functioning autism (HFA).
Reading body language, understanding vocal cues and portraying emotions are skills we use in our everyday lives, but these are the skills that those on the autism spectrum find so challenging. Our programmes use drama to give these young people a chance to explore and develop their social communication in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.
The Social Skills Agency is seeking a dynamic volunteer with a passion for drama and its transformative power to join our team and support our sessions.
Autism Awareness training is provided. In exchange, you will assist with the delivery of the workshops (usually on Saturday afternoons). Candidates must be Bristol based.
Previous personal or professional connection with people on the autism spectrum is preferable, but not essencial.
Please send your CV and a covering letter stating why you would like to join our team to email@example.com.

We need your help. We want to maintain this site for the 20,000 people who use it each month, but the technology it is built on needs serious updating. If you use the site please support us with a £3 donation, or whatever you feel able to give, so we can develop it and keep it a free and valuable resource for people who make and love theatre.
You can also give to us without costing you a penny by signing up to Easy Fundraising, so when you shop online from over 2500 retailers Theatre Bristol will receive a donation.
