the egg is a purpose built young people's theatre space which presents and produces theatre for children and young people alongside an extensive programme of participatory work. We're keen to expand our pool of freelance artists from Bath, Bristol and beyond, and where appropriate develop professional training opportunities for local freelancers. the egg delivers one-off and ongoing creative projects for children and young people aged 1 - 18 in drama, dance, new writing, urban art forms, backstage skills & stage and costume design. Alongside our numerous Young People's Theatre companies we work in a variety of alternative settings, including ongoing projects working with primary and secondary schools, young people at risk of exclusion, youth services and disabled young people. Regular freelance opportunities are available for artists who work within these forms and have experience, the ability or enthusiasm to deliver high-quality participatory work with children and young people. REFRESH will offer a free and informal opportunity to network with the egg's creative team and find out more about our programme. There will also be opportunities to outline your skills, ambitions and aspirations as a freelance artist to our team.
