Ante Theatre - Up The Ante

Cost: £30 term - Early Bird Offer / £10 standard/£8 student single session

Live Dates: 4th & 18th November, 2nd & 16th December from 4-6pm

Up The Ante are proud to announce the second term of our adult theatre-play sessions. Actors of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels are welcome to attend.

Adult play can:

-Relieve stress
-Improve brain function
-Stimulate the mind and boost creativity
-Improve relationships and your connection to others
-Keep you feeling young and energetic

Experienced actors will have the opportunity to play creatively, refreshing their practice in a non-pressured environment. Beginners will have the opportunity to strengthen their confidence and flow of ideas in an encouraging, safe space. Those who have had some time out from performing will have the opportunity to reconnect with their creative selves. Actors who feel their experience has been limited will have the opportunity to experiment with new styles. Everyone will have the chance to reap the benefits of skill-sharing, networking, and creating theatre collaboratively.

Feedback:

"I really enjoy coming to these playdates. You bring a really engaging yet relaxed and safe environment and it really helps as there are people from all different backgrounds. It's nice to see people come out of their shell In ways you wouldn't expect. The games are great for that as they are clearly explained and may seem easy but you can't help but get involved and be as silly as you want with it. Our imagination is embraced in the room with no judgement, and you always reassure us that there's no right or wrong answer to this. Its like going to a workout class but for your imagination, you're a bit anxious at first because you might not reach your goal but when you come out you feel great about yourself."
