Personal Profile
Having worked on a large variety of the productions my experience ranges from calling open flown scene changes to a musical score, to calling the book whilst operating sound and LX. My varied technical knowledge allows me to have a full understanding of the positions within the production team and a unique insight into technical difficulties, aiding my ability to remain positive and calm under pressure in order to solve problems in technical rehearsals and performances.

Responsible for liaising with venues, supervising the get in and get out. During the performance operating sound, whilst calling the LX and scene changes. My duties also included set and costume maintenance as required, and compiling the book and cue lists.

Sept 18th – 25th 2009
Responsible for liaising with venues, supervising and assisting the get in and get out, and calling the re-light. During the performance I operated sound, including Radio Mics and two sources, whilst calling the LX. My duties also included set and costume maintenance as required, and compiling the book and cue lists.
Assistant Production Manager: Zoo Venues, Edinburgh.
July – Sept 2009
Assisting the management of two Edinburgh fringe venues with five performance spaces, including the direct management of crew. Responsible for liaising with incoming companies and running technical rehearsals and turn arounds to strict time limits and high standards of professionalism. Also responsible for supervising and managing the get in and strike of all spaces, including the rigging of scaffold structures, full LX, AV and sound rigs.
Relevant Skills
•The compiling of risk assessments and working knowledge of current health and safety procedures, including the safe and proper use and storage of pyrotechnics and imitation fire arms.
•Extensive experience of compiling and maintaining the prompt book, including the preparation of productions to transfer to tour, compiling prompt copies to be handed over to new stage management teams.
•Strong technical knowledge in Lighting and sound, including relights, rigging, plotting.
•Sourcing and organising hires and returns and employing various methods of prop making.
Other Employment
Further to my management work, I often assist local community, dance and special needs groups with their productions as well as freelancing as a Lighting Designer and running workshops for schools on various aspects of theatre.
Resident DSM August 2007 – May 2009 : The Courtyard Centre for the Arts; Hereford:
Responsibilities included organising, maintaining and running rehearsal and performance spaces, alongside overseeing in coming companies as the senior technician. I also took on the responsibility of maintaining the company’s prop and costume stores and set into practice a new system of storing and loaning items, creating a £3,000 profit in its first year.
