roomOne productions are a local company founded in 2008 as a breakaway group from the UWE Drama Society and since that time have performed successfully in both Bristol and Oxford with Harold Pinter’s Betrayal and Joe Penhall’s Some Voices.
After gaining a significant business start-up grant from UWE Ventures in 2010, roomOne Productions produced their most exciting performance to date, Philip Ridley’s Leaves of Glass to critical acclaim. The play received a 9/10 review from the Bristol Evening Post and a five star review from Venue magazine, which led to the company being awarded runner up in the ‘Best Play’ category of the publications Top Banana Awards 2010.
roomOne's next venture sees Ella Hickson's 'Eight' performed at the Alma Tavern Theatre 28 Mar - 2 Apr 2011. Leaves of Glass will also be reprised at the Tobacco Factory Brewery in August 2011.
