I am a performance and visual artist. I use physical sensations as a guide to discover movements in response to site and materials. I also make photographs, videos and like to work cross-disciplinary. Often I work with natural materials and am intrigued by our relationship to the natural world we inhabit, how we are nature, rather than separated from it. I take inspiration from somatic practices, butoh, physical theatre, shamanic dance and yoga. The past year (2011-2012) I have run Green Moves; a community dance project to research how life skills and environmental awareness can be taught through creativity (wearegreenmoves.wordpress.com). This project has been funded by University College Falmouth.
