Marcus Brigstocke, Barry Cryer, Paul McGann, Bill Oddie, Nick Park, Lucy Porter, Matthew Sweet, June Whitfield and Victoria Wood are among the celebrity guests appearing at the ninth annual Slapstick festival of silent and vintage comedy comedy, taking place in Bristol from January 24 to 27.

Highlights include a rare reunion by all three cast members from the hit 1970s/80s tv series THE GOODIES, a special 40th anniversary edition of I'M SORRY I HAVEN'T A CLUE, a salute to the early female stars of silent comedy, introduced by the stand-out contemporary stand-up LUCY PORTER, and the legendary JUNE WHITFIELD sharing anecdotes from a comedy career which spans six decades.

At the centre of it all there will be Slapstick's ever-popular gala - a laugh-out-loud mix of classic silents, live music, song and banter, hosted by the one of Britain's finest comedy talents, Victoria Wood.
