A site-specific performance about domestic abuse staged in a residential house. ’Our Glass House’ will involve moments of fantasy, choreography and song and will be promenade, encouraging audience to experience the intimacy of the family home and make their own journeys. The performance text is based on interviews we have carried out with men and women who have experienced domestic violence. There will be no perpetrators or violence in this performance.
It is hoped that this production will raise awareness and facilitate emotional and imaginative access to this challenging and under-represented social issue.
As with all Common Wealth shows we are collaborating with musicians, illustrators, dancers and carpenters to transform a disused building and create an event that is part-gig, part installation, part-theatre.
