A script in hand reading of 'The Front Room’ by Jenny Davis

A claustrophobic mother and daughter relationship, a front room constantly cleaned waiting for visitors who never come.  Until one day a stranger arrives whose presence threatens to change their lives forever. Set in a Caribbean household, this comic drama examines what happens when a mother - daughter relationship, based on emotional manipulation is exposed.

A second season of Missing Pieces back by popular demand

Missing Pieces is a monthly series of six play readings representing the best of contemporary and classic Black theatre.

Missing Pieces was conceived by the Producer Jenny Davis to bring the Black theatre experience to audiences in Bristol. The first Season was a universal success with the audiences bringing award winning plays from London theatres such as the Soho Theatre, The Bush, Theatre Royal Stratford and The Tricycle.

Following its successful season last year at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre and Hamilton House, the Wardrobe Theatre welcomes this year’s series. This new season will have some of the most gifted voices in Britain today, alongside those playwrights who were leading writers of their times.
