34 Bristols

From a small village in New Brunswick to a ghost town owned by a mining corporation in Nevada there are thirty four places in the world called Bristol.

34 Bristols is a collective attempt to consider our relationship to these faraway places. Over the weekend thirty four artists created thirty four new works across Bristol, each considering their relationship to one of its distant namesakes. These commissions were presented together over the 34 Bristols weekend (5 – 7 July 2013), with each chapter of the project hosted and curated by a different local organisation.

Theatre Bristol online commissions

For 34 Bristols, Theatre Bristol commissioned 4 new online pieces, which take very different journeys through, from and between different Bristols, from Costa Rica to Rhode Island:

Virtually Everywhere, Virtually by Matthew Whittle
