Theatre Bristol, in partnership with Bristol City Council are surveying organisations in Bristol to create an audit of spaces in the city suitable for rehearsing and creating theatre.
We are asking businesses, community organisations and individuals to complete this short survey about the space they own or occupy and to express an interest in supporting the city’s theatre makers.
The survey is being supported by Bristol City Council’s Culture and Economic Development teams.
Laura Pye, Head of Culture at Bristol City Council, said:
“Bristol has a vibrant and diverse theatre scene that encompasses the internationally renowned Bristol Old Vic through to small, independent and community based theatre groups that have played a huge role in shaping our cultural offer. Our recently endorsed cultural strategy for Bristol recognises the importance of creative spaces that give people the chance to rehearse, perform and share their talents. We already have a variety of pop up spaces in use across the city but more are needed and this audit will hopefully shine a light on a few new places that can be used by local groups.”
