Intensive Acting Laboratory Raquel Grela
INTENSIVE ACTING LABORATORY
An Encounter With Lorca – Theatre Workshop
WHAT IS IT?
This workshop is an introduction to the theatre world of Lorca.
We’ll combine physical and text work.
Using a physical and ensemble approach we’ll explore and create Lorca’s poetic and theatrical world to then immerse ourselves and play with specific scenes from some of his major plays.
Some preparation will be needed previous to the workshop.
The foundations of this workshop are passion, respect, empathy and hard work.

WHO IS IT FOR?
This course is design for actors at any stage of their careers and for acting students with experience in any acting technique looking to explore the theatre of Lorca in within an intensive and challenging training plan.
Raquel Grela started her training as an actress at the Laboratorio de Teatro William Layton in Madrid. Since then, she has never stop training in different techniques including Meisner, Stanislavsky, Uta Hagen, Lecoq, Grotowski and Viewpoints. She has worked as a professional actress on stage and screen, facilitated training workshops and most recently directed a few theatre productions as well as film. This experience has created the desire of making this course to work more often as a guide for actors. Through the Intensive Acting Laboratory courses, she considers that she can offer an intense and different way of training for actors that is lacking in the city of Bristol. She is passionate about supporting actors in their search for their own intuition as way of improving and grounding their truthful and unique performances.
