Confessions of a Cockney Temple Dancer by Shane Shambhu

Contact: Alexa Ledecky ()

Presented by Trinity Centre

Presented as part of our IGNiTE programme of world-class, innovative theatre and dance

Award-winning artist Shane Shambhu combines Indian dance and laugh-out-loud comedy to lead audiences on a revealing journey of his life growing up in London; from unlikely dance student to ‘rude boy’ to international performer.

This is no Bollywood ‘raga to riches’ story, this is the real deal. Shambhu’s story is told through a fresh and captivating blend of laugh-out loud comedy, impeccable characterisations and mesmerising dance that will leave you feeling hopeful.

We think that anyone whose ever moved cities or countries, or whose ever tried to make sense of their own multiple cultural identities will connect with the show and Shane’s story. Bristol needs more South Asian art in venues, and we’re excited to bring you Shane’s unique feel good mix of dance, comedy, film and theatre.
