Presented by The Actors' Workshop
The Actors’ Workshop is delighted to welcome back John Nicholson, co-artistic director of Peepolykus for another wonderful day of devising.
This session will approach the theatre devising process from a variety of starting points; working with characters, planning scenes to improvise, using games to inject dramatic stakes, refining material that is produced, use of dramaturgy, working with music, working from a theme, a poem, a short story, a newspaper article, an overheard conversation etc. We will also look at alternative directorial decisions that can be explored for the same scene. If you have an idea that you’d like to explore then you are more than welcome to present it. This workshop is suitable for actors, writers and directors with varying levels of experience.
