Hosted by Òran Work Centre
Òran Work Centre* presents:
“Excavating Freedom: Unlocking The Potential Of The Performer”
This is a 2-part workshop series by Òran Work Centre and a unique opportunity for performers and artists to work within a playful, focused work space to excavate the vital principles that will unlock the power, rigour and spontaneity of the performer.
In the Work Centre’s signature style, the work is designed to enable individual excavation, creating an atmosphere of personal research while nurturing the findings of the group.
The work is open to artists and performance practitioners of any kind and, while physically demanding, is designed to be accessible to all.
Participants will be able to develop skills in physical theatre, contact improvisation and reactive techniques to sharpen the performers body, and discover what it means to be alive and dynamic players within an ensemble environment.
Feedback from previous participants:
“A playful turning back of the clock”
“I received a gentle, powerful, surprising reconnection with the truth and power of my body”
“A safe environment to connect in a deep, honest way and to meet, face and move beyond our edges.”
