Culture Weston has teamed up with North Somerset Arts to bring you ‘Glass Half Full Fridays’, a friendly hour at the end of the week to help spark creativity.

Join us on good old Zoom for the chance to take part in some quick, spontaneous and fun portrait sessions. This is a supportive environment, where the main aim is to flex your creative muscles and enjoy the process rather than come up with a masterpiece. It’s for anyone with that familiar insatiable itch to get creative.

We understand that, though art is sometimes escapist, it’s also a way of making sense of the world around us and connecting with others (so important for many of us right now!)

Creativity is good for our minds and our spirits, it can help us channel deep thoughts and feelings that we might find hard to process otherwise and can also act as a record of the times we are all living in. We want to help encourage people to feel that any creative work they do is worthwhile and valid in these uncertain times, whether you are just starting out with art making or are an established professional. We also want to help artists feel connected to each other and give them the opportunity to share ideas, support and inspiration, as we think everyone has something valid to offer.

Note that places are limited and booking is essential – please email [email protected] and we’ll send you the link to join

We’re looking forward to constructing some creative conversations with you!
