Join us for a fantastic afternoon showcasing new performances from Bristol-based POC artists:
– drag king Manly Mannington
– collaborative piece that came out of the Kiota Collaborative Residency with singer (and Kiota co-creator) Aisha Ali, Spoken Word Poet Saili Katebe and Dance Artist Deepraj Singh
– improvised scenes from Stomping Ground with Pravanya Pillay as director
– a panel discussion on how we can decolonize art spaces followed by networking opportunities.
“Eye-opening, entertaining and thought-provoking.” Audience member, past KIOTA event
KIOTA are committed to creating original collaborations between POC artists of different disciplines who wouldn’t ordinarily have the chance to work together to see how their artistic practise evolves. We are building this supportive space to offer an opportunity to share, learn and network with other POC creatives whether emerging, established or anything in between.
So, if that describes you or you simply want to enjoy the variety of wonderful performances, come along!
EVERYONE is welcome.
