Connecting Conversations: Merlin Crossingham, Wallace & Gromit Creative Director, Aardman Animations in conversation with Mark Budden
Graduating with a degree in Film and Photography from the Newport Film School, Merlin joined Aardman in 1996 and became Key Animator on the feature film ‘Chicken Run’, and Second Unit Director on ‘Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of The Were Rabbit’. He co-directed the Creature Comforts USA series for CBS, gaining an Emmy nomination. In 2009 he became Creative Director for Wallace & Gromit and won the Bafta for Television New Media in 2011 – Wallace And Gromit’s World of Invention as part of the production team. Merlin directed and voiced the re-launch series of Aardman’s oldest stopmotion character, Morph. He is currently an animation director on the latest Aardman feature film, Early Man.
Mark Budden is a Trustee and professional member of the Severnside Institute for Psychotherapy. He works in private practice as a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, supervisor and trainer, and represents SIP on the editorial Board of the British Journal of Psychotherapy.
