Open to all abilities, from secret shower singers to musical theatre fanatics, the Musical Improv Drop-in is a chance to have a taste of improvising singing and flex your improvising musical muscles in a supportive and encouraging environment. Each drop-in will focus on a different area covering everything from diving in, group numbers, duets and using songs in scenes. No experience needed.


Ian Towers is a very busy professional pianist-singer, who has worked in every aspect of the entertainment world. Also a composer, arranger and teacher, he is currently accompanist/leader for three choirs in Bristol, and is the Musical Director and pianist for This Is Your Musical.

Imogen Palmer has been training in and performing improvisation since 2011. She is the manager of the Theatre School and the artistic director of The Delight Collective*, the creator of IMOGENÉ, The Bish Bosh Bash and If These Walls Could Talk (International Women’s Day show 2020). She has trained in musical improv with the Showstoppers (London), Impromptunes (Melbourne), the Maydays (Brighton) and performed in Impro Melbourne’s Smells Like a Song.
