Presented By St. Alban's Players
The Multi Award Winning St Alban’s Players have been producing quality non-professional theatre in Westbury Park since 1973, donating substantially to charity along the way. Founded by the vicar of St Alban’s Church at the time and supported by members of the congregation, the Players have grown into a dynamic group of members who love theatre of all genres.
Continuing to support the church, community and local charities, St Alban’s Players are raising funds to help renovations in the church hall, striving to replace a 30-year-old stage apron with modern, versatile staging, which can be used by and benefit all hall users, the local community and church congregation. The Spring Concert promises to be of a very high quality is the latest of a number of events being planned to achieve this goal.
The concert on 18th March will bring together young professional soloists from the Bristol area, along with performers from The Royal Academy of Music and The Royal Scottish Conservatoire. With light operatic, song and musical-theatre repertoire centering around the theme of Spring, expect to hear popular tunes and be introduced to new musical delights. Interspersed with spoken word, and hosted by St. Alban’s Players, ‘The Sweet Melodies of Spring’ will be an evening full of wonderful songs and ensembles. A rare treat!
