Take Your Child to Work Day

Contact: Artspace Lifespace (Email)

Summer holidays are upon us and with it the conundrum of balancing quality holiday time with working freelance. Artspace Lifespace would like to welcome freelance and creatives to Arts Mansion on 20th August. We will be opening up the Music Room and Panelled Lounges as co-working spaces for the day where you and your aspiring young creatives can network with other young creatives.

The Music Room will be set up with tables and chairs with colouring sheets and colouring pencils and we will put out a selection of games such as badminton, jenga and space hoppers on the lawn for kids to enjoy. We also plan to show a selection of short films throughout the day. The panelled lounges will be set up as quieter spaces where parents can send emails, make phone calls or have 1:1 meetings.

If you or your child would like to volunteer to run a skill share session for parents or children then please let us know and we will create timeslots for different activities to take place. Whether you want your kids to have a workshop making animals out of playdough, a place to trade pokemon cards or a table for board games then we’d love for you to make it happen. We want the space to be one where parents and children have an opportunity to interact and use their imagination.

Parents will also be able to accompany their children to the Rose Garden to participate in the Rose Garden Safari for Little Explorers. Worksheets are available from the Courtyard Cafe (suggested donation of 50p which is donated to the Grand Appeal).
