2019 marks the 60 year anniversary of Ashton Court being purchased by Bristol City Council and becoming a mansion for the people. To celebrate Artspace Lifespace is opening the doors of Ashton Court with a free heritage family day out.

• Theatrical vignettes depicting the fascinating history of Ashton Court Estate from Show of Strength Theatre Company
• Games on the South Lawn
• The Future of Ashton Court Mansion – six schools from Bristol and North Somerset who participated in artist workshops in June share their visions for it’s future, including Barton Hill Academy, Cabot Primary, Easton CE Academy, Glenfrome Primary School, Hannah More Primary School and Worle Village Primary Schools
• Heritage exhibition curated by local volunteers and local artist Amy Hutchings
• Performance from Opera Sulis
Plus a rare chance to see the upper floor where the Smyth family lived. Pre-booking essential.
