Feel like you’re falling through the cracks?

We’ve heard from lots of people that the support currently available – from government, Arts Council England, local authorities and other places – just doesn’t work for them. We’re holding a Theatre Bristol Assembly for any artists and arts workers who can’t find support that meets their needs.

We’ll be thinking and talking about financial and creative coping strategies, what role our practice plays now, what role it might play in the future, and anything else important to you. There will be time to talk about Universal Credit and questions around government support for the self-employed. We’re hoping to have people in the meeting who can provide expertise on some of these issues.

The session may also explore the idea of mutual aid and mutual support – we’ll respond to the needs and interests of the people who sign up.

Our team of Artist Support Associates – Tom Marshman, Alex Murdoch and Deasy Bamford – will be there to share their thoughts and experiences, supported by the rest of the TB team.

If any of part of this speaks to you, please do come along. You’re welcome to talk, share or just listen.
