Improvisers from the critically-acclaimed Impromptu Shakespeare will guide you to use improvisation skills to uncover your inner Bard. Expect to improve your verbal dexterity, emotional range, naturalness and presence, as well as your grasp of iambic pentameter and rich metaphor – useful for actors performing Shakespeare, and improvisers performing in his style. You’ll experience gravitas and beauty, gentle irreverence and hilarity. Some previous improvisation or acting training or experience preferred.

Returning for a third time to the Bristol Shakespeare Festival, Impromptu Shakespeare features a cast of leading improv talent. They’ve performed four critically-acclaimed runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and were featured on BBC radio’s The Art of Improv.
