We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Manager to help take our successful evening music school into its next chapter. The Pre-Conservatoire has been running for six years and meets on term-time Wednesday evenings at St Monica Trust (BS9 3UN). Directed by Jonathan James, it is a creative community that gathers gifted young classical and jazz musicians from across the region to work together on their general musicianship and ensemble skills.
The Programme Manager’s key responsibilities are:
Parent, student and tutor communication
Co-ordinating rehearsal and concert logistics
Marketing, fundraising and planning for growth in partnership with the Artistic Director
The autumn term (12 September – 12 December 2018) will be a handover period, working alongside the current Programme Manager. Hours will be 4.00pm – 10.00pm on term-time Wednesday evenings, plus occasional additional meetings as required. The rate of pay is £18.50 per hour.
From January 2019, the role will increase to c. 12 hours per week to include 4.00pm – 10.00pm on term-time Wednesday evenings.
