HF Lantern Project (Fixed-Term Contract until end of July 2020)
Our Colston Hall Transformation includes a major Heritage Fund (NLHF) capital project known as ‘The Lantern Project’.
As part of the Lantern Project we are looking an experienced Volunteering and Work-Placements Officer to work with the Community, Learning and Volunteering Senior Officer to support delivery of the HF activity plan, establishing the hall as a place of heritage activity, engagement and volunteering and to take responsibility for recruiting, training and giving support and induction to volunteers to meet the aspirations of the project.
The CLV Senior Officer and VWP Officer, embedded in our Creative Learning and Engagement team, have already developed learning programmes and built participation and evaluation into the interpretation, whilst recruiting, training supporting project staff and new volunteers. The roles also run heritage activities and events to attract new audiences and establish sustainable learning and community programmes including work with partner organisations to develop and host employability courses for adult learners, including ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) learners and developing career insight opportunities for all ages including workshops and career days.
This fixed-term contract will provide cover for the existing post-holder whilst they provide cover in the CLV Senior Officer role.
