As part of our new verbatim-gig show, Bullet Theatre is looking for people to participate in a short interview/discussion about puberty and music. We are particularly interested in talking to BAME women.
- Were you born in the 60s or early 70s?
- Do you identify as female?
- Then this opportunity is for you!
Our new production aims to bring taboo topics into the open – looking at the experience of growing up as a girl from the perspective of two different generations of women. The show will use live music and verbatim stories to explore how different generational contexts such as: politics, social values, technology and social media have changed this experience, but equally the parallels in pressures and issues faced.
To do this we want to hear about the music that evokes memories from your pubescent period, the artists you aspired to be like, the song you had on repeat..

Bullet Theatre are a Bristol-based, all female company. Our recent production, FREAK, received sell-out, 5-star runs in both Bristol and the Edinburgh Fringe. Connecting media headlines to diary scribbles, our work aims to broadly and unashamedly explore the experience of being female.
