A note from the author:
At no point should this play be taken as something to promote or make fun of the situation of suicide or be seen as making fun out of loss but it should be considered as a view on death and the reasons why one chooses to listen to the Call of the Void. It is divided into:
Why One Chooses Suicide,
How They Choose to Commit the Act of Suicide,
One’s Personal Image of Taking Their Own Life
and finally
How The World Sees Us After.

We all hold views on the act of suicide, whether religiously or not and it is still considered taboo and even against the law in many countries yet it is still very prevalent, especially in young men with an average of 84 men below 45 committing suicide in the UK a week. We say the act is selfish, particularly to those who consider it but we often fail to truly take into account the reasons why they choose to commit the act. We can say they required some form of help but often there are other underlying factors that need to be considered.
While loss is a horrible thing to experience and one would hope to never have to deal with it in this way, it happens and we need to come to terms with why and consider various solutions to preventing it and accepting that sometimes, these solutions just did not work.
