We need volunteers to help us with on the day with our Danceathon. The event is a fundraiser where people can sign up to dance for up to 6 hours to raise valuable funds for Many Minds.
Many Minds is a Bristol based mental health and performance charity that run workshops and make performance with people who have experienced mental ill-health. We work with individuals to engage with their creativity, improve confidence, self-esteem and build social skills and networks.
There will be a full schedule of top Bristol based DJ’s, dancers and artists including Exposure, Don’t Tell Your Mother (DTYM), Bristol Women in Music (BWiM), Simon Panrucker and a host of local performance artists, dancers and musicians with interactive dance/ stretching routines to keep participants loving every minute. Spectators are welcome to come down and cheer people on in this fun event for all the family.
We expect around 200 people. There will also be some delicious refreshments, dressing up area, glitter booth and lots of prizes including a Mini Rig, goodies from Burnt Soul Clothing, gym memberships and meals from Bristol’s top restaurants.
Volunteers tasks will include::
- Motivating dancers and helping to make sure everyone has enough food and drink to keep them going
- Helping to set up and pack down at beginning and end of day
- Signing people in, meeting and greeting and info giving
- Running registration desk
