Forum Theatre Workshop Assistants

Organiser: Many Minds

Many Minds (mental health and performance charity) are teaming up with black women’s playback group Breathing Fire to run forum theatre projects in two neighbourhoods in Bristol over a period of 10 weeks.

We will be working in Hartcliffe and St Judes / St Paul’s and Easton and make forum theatre pieces that will be shared at the end of the workshop series.

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed volunteers to join the team and support participants in workshop settings.

Tasks will include helping to prepare the space, welcoming and supporting members in the session and helping to clear the space after every session. Our volunteers are a key part of the team and are also required to participate in the workshop sessions.

Commitment required: Dates: Week commencing Oct 14th – Dec 16th. On Monday or Wednesday evenings from 5:30 – 9pm.

What we offer: We provide volunteers with group external supervision sessions, training to do the role, lots of staff support and the opportunity to work with some inspiring people on ambitious arts projects. We also reimburse travel expenses for getting to and from workshops.

“Volunteering with Many Minds is a truly incredible experience. You will feel supported, involved and utterly inspired by the group and art that is produced” – Katie, Many Minds Workshop Volunteer

We welcome applications from people from all ages, backgrounds and walks of life. We are particularly interested in receiving applications from people who live in Hartcliffe, St Judes, St Pauls and Easton.
