Fringe Auditions

On A String is heading to the Bath Fringe Festival 2018 and beyond, and we’re looking to complete our cast with two interesting roles.

“A new Government scheme is being trialled to replace Jobseekers Allowance and help struggling generations. Earn money by reciting your memories.

Mel, a confident and successful business woman, finds her world turned upside down when everything she knows is taken from her. Desperate for money to survive, she participates in this new scheme but by providing her memories, is there more at stake than just sharing a few experiences?”

Character Breakdown:

HENRY – Male. Late 20’s/ early 30’s. Intelligent with a friendly face, but is easily swayed by other people’s decisions.

WOMAN – Female. Early 50’s. Clinical looking and able to command a room. She is manipulative yet has a softer side when it comes to her family.

Both roles require multiple monologues so please only apply if you feel comfortable with this.

You must be available for rehearsals between 26th May – 1st June and during the weekend of the Fringe 2nd – 3rd June 2018, with the performance being held on Sunday 3rd June. Rehearsals leading up to these dates will then be worked around all cast and crew’s availability throughout the months of April and May.

We are able to cover expenses* on the day of the performance at the Bath Fringe Festival.

Auditions will take place in Weston-super-Mare.

Please send your Spotlight link and CV’s to [email protected].

*Travel and an allowance for food will be covered on 3rd June 2018 within reason.
