Hammerpuzzle Theatre Co in association with the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham are looking to support TWO emerging theatre makers / theatre companies this winter.
Hammerpuzzle Theatre Co are about to begin rehearsals for their Christmas co-productions: ‘Tales of Hans Christian Andersen’ and ‘A Gloucestershire Midwinter’, at the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham. They are looking to support two emerging theatre makers / theatre companies linked to the Gloucestershire region throughout this winter period.
The support on offer is available FREE to the chosen recipients and provides the opportunity to observe the rehearsal process first hand, to receive one to one mentoring sessions with Hammerpuzzle’s directors, as well as with Paul Milton, creative director for The Everyman Theatre, Cheltenham. On top of the observation and mentoring opportunities the recipients will receive practical masterclasses on getting initial ideas onto the page, ideas from the page to the stage as well as a session on producing your own work locally.
We will give tailored support, practical advice and observation opportunities at key points during our Arts Council England funded period; with the aim of helping the chosen recipients to further understand their own creative practice and development.

Applications are shortlisted and the chosen recipients are contacted.
Tues 21st November
We host our first day with the selected companies/artists at the Everyman Theatre Cheltenham.
Wed 22nd – Fri24th November
An open opportunity to observe rehearsals for both shows at the Everyman Theatre Studio
Tues 28th November
An opportunity to observe technical and dress rehearsals for ‘Tales of Hans Christian Andersen’
Friday 19th January
Final evaluation meetings with each artist/company as we look to their futures.
Recipients will receive complimentary tickets to see both shows in performance at the Kings Theatre Gloucester in January 2018.
All other workshops and meetings to be arranged in conjunction with the successful applicants.
